i know i have spiritual gifts...its just hard to give all the time and not expect anything in return...Ive met some awesome friends and keep them close to me all the time...but family? just have my children i connect with...

I was adopted as a young child..2 1/2 years old...never felt like i belonged to them either and then later on in life i met my birth mother and some of my family...came from 11! brothers and one sister...im #9...yes id like to know what my spititual gifts are as well as any superficial ones that may be lurking in my soul...after meeting my birth mother, i still didnt feel as if i was to belong to anyone...I try to feel as if i belong to the family of God, but without family here its hard to know what that really is like....

Michelle, I am not sure if you are talking about spiritual gifts to help people with in life or something else. I can help you if you wish to open up spiritually. Elizabeth, this is a very common occurence for people who are spiritually gifted and sensitive to others to feel very out-of-place. There are many reasons this is so. For one, our birth family often doesn't really understand us or who we really are. 2nd, they may be our family here, but are usually not part of our soul-family, so they don't resonate with our soul. As we progress spiritually, we seek out and unite with other members of our soul family and those that are on the same vibration we are and understand us better. Michelle...I always tell people to follow or investigate the areas that you feel drawn to, or have interest in. I know for, myself personally, I seem to do many things well. Because everything interests me...lol
I am a walking library, and learning is imperative for me...I crave it so much.

What are you drawn to? What are your goals in life? What comes natural for you?

James is very right about knowing yourself, and having that relationship with yourself that invokes pure honesty. All answers you seek, are inside of you.

I know all about feeling different from your family. Aside from spiritually feeling different from them, even my last name was different then theirs, and i never totally felt 'apart' of the family.

Why is it you feel so different then them?

You will never truly be loved until you love yourself because if you find yourself unlovable then how could anyone else ever get so close?
The best time I ever spent was four years on my own to find myself and know who I am, come to terms with who I am and like who I am.

As to finding your gifts?

Nicole or Brenda are probably the best people to talk to about this but from my point of view I would say start by writing everything you know about yourself down onto paper, look for similarities and repeats and write these on another list, then think very hard about each of the repeats and decide which you feel most comfortable with.

How do you use these abilities in your life, or how could you use them?

These are your gifts.

i have never felt that my childhood family was where i belonged and later in life i met my birth family and found i didnt belong there as well...my life has been spent pleasing others and now that im on my own again, i have found that pleasing myself is more important than pleasing others in the beginning...im learning to love myself first and then there will be room for others to love.
