I was asked by someone recently how is it that I always have such wise, intelligent words to say, and how is it I always seem so focused. I guess I am always a bit 'thrown off' when people articulate obsevations about me, back to me, as I seem to not always know how I will come across to someone.
My only answer was that I know who I am. That I have my own approval and accept all about me. I am not certain if this answer was what she expected, as she seemed to just sit there, almost as if thinking 'is it really that simple?'
I think it is that simple. I sat down and started to write down 3 ways to find your soul purpose. I always, always, always tell people, to explore that in what you're drawn to, because that is a big indication to knowing yourself, and to figure out your own soul purpose.
Life purpose is a phrase that is often over used and misunderstood. It's not a destination, a job, a relationship, or any single thing. It's an expression of your soul~ a soul purpose. Ones soul purpose is the guiding light for this journey we call life. It's the lens through which we filter our dreams, goals, and actions. We take actions to achieve our goals which help us realize our dreams. Your life purpose is your souls call for fulfillment. It is the foundation we use to create our talent for living.
Without it, life often feels fuzzy and unfocused, the goals we set seem elusive and unsatisfying if met. Finding your soul purpose isn't a long, drawn out process. It is actually straight forward, which maybe over time, may need some altering.
**Set aside a good amount of time like 30-60 minutes and work through the following questions**
1. Who am I? List a minimum of 10 unique attributes that reflect the real you.
2. What am I most passionate about? Passion and purpose go hand in hand, write down everything that comes to mind and circle those with strong emotional charge when you feel like you have no more to write, write 10 more (go back to to the circled ones and move them from there).
3. What are the 3 most fulfilling moments in your life and why? Write the moments that you felt completly connected, fully alive, and energized.
Put a star next to the words, feelings, or themes that are common. Take these and all the circled items from your passion list and begin to form a soul statement.
This is mine: To live consciously and in integrity, to vibrate with joy and peace, to inspire choice within others, and to foster a community of acceptence.
Notice the patterns in this soul statement aligns with my overall concept of reality:
To live consciously-aware and actively integrating all parts of my Self and in integrity-walking my talk, a virtue required to pursue conscious growth and to be joyful.
Out of all the vibrations, JOY has the highest frequency. To vibrate with Joy-my sense of connectedness and well being, a feeling of eager and anticipation and wonder for each moment as it unfolds and sharing this grateful delight and peace-the serenity that comes from being in harmony with Self and the Divine.
To inspire choice within others-illuminating the abilty to choose a higher level of consciousness/awareness, which opens the door for them to shine their light and foster a community of acceptence-to accept each individual as well as the knowledge that we are all one.
Posting a Soul Statement regualry can help you to apply it everyday in life and imbue a sense of ease and flow into even the most mudane moments.
